Keystone Master is the 2000-rating mount most players aim for. What the eight dungeons ask of you and a plan that doesn’t burn you out.

Keystone Master is the achievement for reaching a Mythic+ rating of 2000 in a season. This season it awards the Breath of Blight mount. It is the milestone most Mythic+ players treat as “I did the season”, and it is very reachable if you plan your keys instead of just queuing whatever drops.
The rating ladder this season
| Rating | Achievement | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| 1500 | Keystone Conqueror | Title: the Venomous |
| 2000 | Keystone Master | Mount: Breath of Blight |
| 2500 | Keystone Hero | Cosmetic reward (no mount) |
| 3000 | Keystone Legend | Mount: Breath of Ruin |
| 3600 | Keystone Myth (from 12.1.5) | Title: the Venomous Contender |
Timing each dungeon at +10 also unlocks its teleport, which saves a surprising amount of time over a season.
The eight Keystone Master dungeons
- Altar of Fangs (new this season)
- Murder Row
- Den of Nalorakk
- The Blinding Vale
- Voidscar Arena
- Ruby Life Pools
- Kings’ Rest
- Temple of Sethraliss
Your rating comes from your best run in each of these eight. A higher key and a faster clear both raise a dungeon’s score. That has one big consequence: eight even scores beat one high one. Timing a +12 in your favourite dungeon adds far less than bringing your worst dungeon up two levels.
Affixes by key level
| Key level | What is active |
|---|---|
| +2 to +5 | Lindormi’s Guidance: weakened marked enemies, deaths cost no time |
| +5 and up | Xal’atath’s Bargain, rotating weekly (Ascendant, Voidbound, Pulsar, Devour) |
| +7 and up | Fortified or Tyrannical, alternating each week |
| +10 and up | Fortified and Tyrannical together |
| +12 and up | Xal’atath’s Guile replaces the Bargain; each death costs 15 seconds |
For Keystone Master you live mostly in the +7 to +10 band, so the weekly Fortified/Tyrannical swap matters. Dungeons with nasty trash feel worse on Fortified weeks, and boss-heavy ones on Tyrannical. Push the dungeons that suit the week.
A plan that works
- Gear first. A timed +10 drops 311 at the end and gives a 318 vault reward. If you are far below that, spend a week in +6 to +8 keys before pushing.
- Time every dungeon at +7. This gives a solid base and shows you which dungeons are your weak ones.
- Fix the weakest two. Watch one route video for each and push them before touching your best dungeons.
- Climb all eight to +9 and +10. That is usually where 2000 lands, as long as you time them.
- Use your own key. Pushing your own key with a steady group of three or four is far more consistent than joining random groups.
Check where you stand first
Open the Mythic+ tab in the Group Finder: it shows your score for each of the eight dungeons. Raider.io shows the same, plus which key level and time each score came from. Sort by your lowest dungeons, because that is where the next points are cheapest. A dungeon you have only timed at +6 can add more rating in one evening than a week of pushing your best one.
Keystone Master and your Great Vault
The Mythic+ row of the Great Vault fills up as you complete more dungeons in a week, and the reward follows your highest keys. Pushing towards Keystone Master and gearing go together: every week you spend timing +10s also puts a 318 option in your vault. That is why we suggest spreading your keys over the week instead of one marathon night.
When getting help makes sense
If you have two or three dungeons that keep failing, or you simply don’t have the evenings, a Mythic+ rating boost or a few targeted timed keys can finish the job. Our honest advice: if you are already above 1800 and enjoy keys, push it yourself. The last 200 points are the fun part.
Keystone Master, with you in the group — Timed keys across all eight dungeons until the mount pops.
Questions
Questions
Is Keystone Master account-wide?
The achievement is tracked across your Warband, and the mount is usable on your other characters. The rating itself belongs to each character.
Do I need to time keys, or just finish them?
Timed runs score much higher. Overtime completions count for something, but they won’t get you to 2000 at a sensible key level.
What changes with Keystone Myth in 12.1.5?
Only the top: a new 3600 milestone. Keystone Master stays at 2000.
